    How bout dem DAWGS

Inside the PV 10 yard line FOUR different times, turned away every single time.

Very tough, hard fought win for PV. After fumbling two straight possessions to start the game, the Vikes came back, stopped Appy when it counted, and came out with a win.

The one TD play was a phenomenal play by the PV QB hitting his RB after an amazing scramble, it looked like the McNabb play from MNF a couple years ago.

Appalachia hung tough, but just didnt have the offense. the PV defense was AWESOME, even after losing one of their best players early in the 1st quarter when PV blocked an Appy FG attempt.

We heard all week about DEM DAWGS gon be fired up and come to PV and win.
    Ha, better luck next year!

    Since 1996 and counting!!!

    6-0 final.

I was saying this also. They should have won the game by at least four touchdowns according to the report on the radio, and sadly enough let it slip. Appalachia Bulldogs of 2009: So much potential, always coming up short. Back to being mediocre yet again. 13 years straight losing to the Vikings and counting. And this could have - should have - been stopped tonight. But woulda, coulda, shoulda. Doesn't mean a ****ed thing.

it was a great game. appy moved the ball up and down the field just couldn't punch it in 4 different times inside the 10 yard line. pv quarterback made a great play on what looked like a big loss and threw a nice pass for the score. however refs did blow that one. i just finished watching it again on film and there were 3 offensive linemen well downfield when huff threw the pass and once again the refs blow an important call in a good game. not saying they did anything intentional, just bad officiating with game on the line..

As a viking fan, i can't believe other viking fans on here bragging about this game. And before i say this i know IF, is the biggest word in the english dictionary. But Phil better thank heaven that Tom Turner rest his soul was not on that sideline calling plays when those DAWGS were inside the 5 those 4 times. Because IF he was at the least 2 would have been touchdowns. And if huff even resembled a Donavan Mcnabb why the hell are we the most one dementional team i have ever seen PV put on the field.

Sounds like Appy at least showed up tonight. A loss is a loss, but 6-0 is a heckuva lot better than the 62-6 thrashing last week.

you obviously arent much of a PV fan are ya

its a rivalry game. PV came in and played great defense.

yeah appy made some stupid playcalls, but PV did as well. running their smallest RB on 4th down, pretty loopy.

huff made a GREAT play on the TD. if you cant accept that you must be a moron.

i dont know what you expect, but this was a good hard fought win.

so how bout you stop calling yourself a viking fan? you are just a HATER

I don't know where you get that really. This is one of the 5 least talented teams they've ever had.

I think the reason I thought they had potential is because they played solid against tough teams (up until they ****ed off Kelly), had a large arsenal of very capable running backs, had an exchange student who could actually kick the ball if needed, and had more players this year than some of the previous Appalachia teams. This Appalachia team was a HUGE improvement over last year's nearly-worst-in-school-history 1-9 team, but it makes me so angry to see that potential wasted in terrible losses such as this one to Powell Valley when they were within a few steps of scoring four times throughout the game and let it slip.
